School Supply Distribution.  In July, the Mission Team encourages you to bring in school supplies for the GRIN school backpack distribution taking place on Saturday, August 9.  Bring in your donations by Sunday, July 20 and place in the shopping basket in the Narthex. School supplies are going on sale now.   Items collected are:  

• Chisel Tip Expo® Low Odor Dry Erase Markers Sets 

• Elmer's Washable Glue Sticks 

• 5” school scissors 

• Double pocket portfolios with 3 prong fasteners 

• 24 ct Crayola® Standard Crayons - 24 Colors in Tuck Box 

• 3”x5” ruled index cards, 100 pak.  

The week of July 14 -18, Stonybrook will be part of the G.R.I.N. (Gahanna Residents in NEED) Summer Lunch Club program providing lunches for Royal Manor and Goshen elementary and families. There are various ways to participate: Helping to prep food at church, including bagging cookies, veggies, and fruit, and counting out bags of chips. Share your baking skills by making cookies, brownies, and rice Krispie treats. Be part of the team that readies the food to be delivered and deliver it to the schools. Or serve the meal from 11:30-1:30 pm. Assist with clean-up from 1:00-2:00 pm in Stonybrook’s kitchen. Students aged 12 and over must be accompanied by an adult to help. Volunteers are required to undergo background checks and complete Safe Sanctuary Training, which will be managed by Stonybrook. To volunteer, sign up click here.
